So parts of a computer are basically:

  • cpu
  • gpu (can be integrated graphics)
  • memory
  • storage
  • networking
  • power delivery
  • peripheral bus (usb for keyboard, mouse)

I think that's pretty much it...

On top, a framework laptop has something like:

  • webcam wired in to motherboard
  • microphone wired in
  • fingerprint sensor wired in
  • power button
  • speakers wired in
  • headphone jack
  • expansion card for hdmi, usb
  • keyboard backlight
  • screen with backlight (could be touchscreen like framework 12)
  • hinge sensor to turn off computer when closed
  • fan to dissipate heat

Then there's some physical components too, like hinges, camera cover, microphone kill switch, light for communicating for example if power is plugged in
