This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYVkSUydqMI with slides: https://slides.com/vipulgupta2048/osseu2023-qemu/#/8
Has this command:
qemu-system-aarch64 -enable-kvm \ -machine raspi3b -cpu cortex-a53 \ -dtb bcm2710-rpi-3-b.dtb \ -m 1G -smp 4 \ -kernel kernel8.img \ -sd ./Downloads/rpi.img \ -append "rw earlyprintk loglevel=8 console=ttyAMA0,115200 dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootdelay=1" \ -device usb-net,netdev=net0 \ -netdev user,id=net0,hostfwd=tcp::2222-:22 \ -no-reboot -nographic
Got the firmware here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/tree/master/boot
My best iteration so far ended with kernel panic:
qemu-system-aarch64 \ -machine raspi4b -cpu cortex-a76 \ -smp 4 \ -dtb bcm2711-rpi-4-b.dtb \ -kernel kernel8.img \ -drive if=sd,file=/Users/razzi/Downloads/2026-06-18-raspios-trixie-arm64.img,format=raw \ -device usb-net,netdev=net0 \ -netdev user,id=net0,hostfwd=tcp::2222-:22 \ -append "rw earlyprintk loglevel=8 dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootdelay=1"
