Huh namecheap is offering handshake now... seems like a real racket for them, charging a couple bucks and only doing a bit of proof of work if at all to proxy the request along. But hey that's pretty much in line with how the internet naming system works lol they make a request and gather $10/year...

Wow, got dark mode working! Mostly everything worked with sudo apt upgrade, just had to answer some prompts (not trivial bc the console was janked) then run update.php. That one worked immediately with no prompts or anything, then everything works here including a new menu option for dark mode. Woo!
