Idea: editor that shows you the file in a syntax you want

For example, say the project uses semicolons, but you don't. Then you can hide the semicolons as you edit, and prettier makes it consistent on the backend. Could lead to some really annoying errors... but it's a way to sidestep the constant flame wars of code style.
